Saks Fifth Avenue's Executive Excellence Program is a unique training opportunity for college graduates who are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic environment focusing on a distinctive career path in Retail Management. Our highly recognized program, based in New York City, provides individuals with the knowledge and skills for a successful career in Merchandising or Store Management. While working directly with Merchants, Planners, and Store Managers, the program builds cross-functional expertise and allows time for skill development and adjustment to the company culture. Individuals learn directly from our leaders through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job experience.

PROGRAM DETAILS

The Executive Excellence Program is comprised of nine months of training and begins in February. Upon completion of the program, graduates are placed in a Merchandising position. Fundamental skills are developed in the following areas:

Store management • Buying • Planning • Management and leadership development • Financial business analysis • Advertising trends • Merchandise selection • Inventory control • Operations • Customer service • Relationship building • Selling techniques • Asset Protection • Visual merchandising

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS Degree from an accredited 4 year university or college
• Excellent analytical skills
• High energy level, motivated, disciplined and proven leadership ability
• GPA minimum of 3.0 - Copy of college transcripts required
